Olympics and First American Companion

Well this week, miracles on end!! the best part about missionary work to me is that more than big miracles pulling you through week by week or transfer by transfer, there are so many small miracles and blessings from our Heavenly Father that surrond us each day and I am starting to understand a little bit more how to recognize them!!

This week was very relaxing because none of our appointments cancelled!!!! its been a while but it was great to meet with our two normal investigators and teach them about the joy of the Gospel! they both had some pretty big concerns but together through the Spirit we got things figured out!!! One of them we set a baptismal date with -- He said he doesnt feel close to being ready so denied the date we thought but set it for April 27th ----way far away. but again little by little as we meet and help him prepare we are hoping he will have the desire to be baptized earlier!!
Our other investigator is really wanting to know if there really is a God and the thing is three weeks ago all he wanted was free english class but we have definitely seen a change of heart from him and are anticipating some great things!!!!
So with investigators those are our little miracles!!
Others came this week through study as I recognized something new and also from weather again starting to warm up!!! haha
we had a way fun MINI OLYPICS for our mutual activity SO thanks to late night projects I was able to pull off some pretty solid olympic medals!!!

Well sad part about this last week.... Transfer calls.... and my amazing companion was shipped out haha and in came my first american companion in the mission field!!! Miracle in this is that I am not having to strain myself eveytime we talk trying to understand hahah such a blessing!! but really weird because konglish is what I have been about for now 7 months!!! hahah It will be very different but I am excited for the new experience!!

I dont know!! I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY!!!! it is the hardest thing i have ever done. every night I feel worn and torn but each morning when the alarm goes off- I know it is going to be a great day!!!
Yeah thats about it!!!
haha sorry kinda a lame low key email but things are happening and I am happy!!! This is the Lords work and this gospel is what brings joy and happiness and peace in our lives!!!

LOVE YOU SO MUCH

Success and stray cats

Hey WHATS UP?? Glad to be hearing all about the tournament and how great everyone is doing!! Wishing I was in the warm sun- it has stayed pretty chilly again this last week snowed a hailed a few times but just all in the fun-again starting to get a little warmer and yeah things are going great!!!!!

SO this week we again met with our new investigator 3 times and were able to get into teaching the plan of salvation! that is a miracle in itself due to the past 9 weeks being the first lesson and a drop or cannot get a hold of them anymore!
but its awesome! I have really been able to see the Lords hand as we teach and make mistakes or dont explain and yet this investigator continues to want to learn and meet and he came to Church yesterday!! a little shy at first but by the end he was great!! This week we are going to talk about baptism and hopefully set a goal and date with him to recieve baptism!!
Well something really exciting-last week on sunday we found a cat in the church and thought we had chased it out. We came back on wednesday for a meeting with our investigator and it again appeared out of no where and ran down to the bottom floor of the church. It left some pretty good markings through the church as it tore up any garbage bags and got into our rice a bit as well- wednesday to friday we spent time as we could trying to find it and get it out and finally on friday we found its hiding spot caught it and let it back outside-it was quite the event for my companion and I as we tried to set traps around the church to trap it hahahah everything from trails of food to a nice bowl of water hah
We also had interviews this week which as always were AMAZING!!! we learned a ton about the LOVE of GOD and this week as I have been reading the scriptures I have really been able to notice His love among those in thescriptures and more so among us!!

Just to end transfer calls are this thursday so I will let you know next week how that turns out haha
LOVE hearing about you all and hope all is well!!!

HOLY SMOKES!!!!!!!!
this week went by even faster than last~~~~~ so nuts!! this week was not transfer week but today starts week 5 of our transfer so not this but the next thursday we may be recieving a phone call... haha anyways this week went back to freezing and it has "snowed" three times this week(the littlest amount just lightly falls from the sky -its awesome!!) It hasnt snowed in busan for a really long time so it was kinda a big deal! not actually the coldest its been but spring is definitely a little longer than around the corner haha

This week was really fun and although we had a larger number of cancelled appointments (basically every week) we were able to meet with some awesome people!! First a new investigator-he is 20 and going to college in our area-we met him just on the street one day and this week met with him almost everyday-wednesday we ate lunch and taught a lesson thursday he came to english class friday we taught another lesson and saturday he came to soccer and our mutual activity!! He is AWESOME!! really sincere and when we talk about the gospel if he doesnt understand he really does just ask!! makes it really nice for us!!
Miracles are happening everywhere!!

So Saturday was just an ultimate day!! way fun!!! we had our normal soccer saturday and then went straight to an ice skating rink with the young men and women from our branch along with the branch president!!! really really fun! reminded me alot of our mutual ice skating night!! it made for a really long day but came to be one of our most successful activities yet!! still working on more ideas if you have any let me know!!!

This week we also had some pretty random stuff to eat from fish soup to breakfast burritos to pizza hut to duck ... just really really random but all really delicious!!!

sounds like you are busy as always!! have fun watching olympics !! sounds like a blast!!!
LOVE YOU ALL!!!!

Team South Korea

8th month mark

YELLOO!!!'
hah hows it going??? THis week just flew by and what my companion and I thought was going to be an everlasting week came and went in the blink of an eye --starting now the fourth week of 5th transfer in Korea and this past week marking the 8th month mark as a missionary---really nuts!!!!

Well to start, this week on tuesday we had a district porselyting activity that went really well--their we met our APs who came on exchanges with us tuesday night and wednesday morning. Lucky for me the Ap that came with us was my trainer and so we had a fun time teaching together again and my companion and I learned a ton from him! really fun to get back together!! hah
So tuesday and wednesday we had two reallyawesome lessons one with a new investigator who has really been prepared since forever and who is catholic but prays the same way we do so when we taught he was like,"oh yeah thats how I already pray and these are some of the answers I have gotten ..." haha so sweet really easy to explain the spirit to him and used elder bednars object lesson with light to help explain--really sweet!!!
the next was a lesson with the 19 year old who we invited to be baptized .. as of now we havent set a date but this week we are planning on it! He really undersatnds what we teach and is really sincere about it as well!! hopefully we can help him out before he leaves for college at the end of this month...

so then lunar new year and Missionary work kinda slows down but we had our yearly cleaning assignments for our homes and so that took almost a full day and we still are not done haha we will be finishing today and tomorrow to meet all the requirements hah and its not because we dont clean but we are assigned to throw out anything and everything that we are not using so yeah lots to chuck!! haha
had some really good food with members for the new year --kimchi stew and rice cake soup and vegetables and rice and twikim and yeah pretty much delicious most of the time when people celebrate they are inside with their families and so the streets were ghost town status haha anyway really good way to spend the holiday!!
today for p-day we are heading back over to the culture center we went to with our youth to check it out a little more should be pretty fun!!  weather has been way nice just wearing longsleeve with suit and thats it-warm and humid this week

well thats about all i will switch computers with my companion and send you some pics!
LOVE YOU SO MUCH thanks for all your prayers and love and support
Hppy new year--again haha
