Anyonghaseo kajoke!!! (hello family!!)

Well fortunately our P-Days are Friday so I get to share experiences early and am so excited to tell you about this week!!

To begin, the MTC is actually a lot of fun and it is mostly because of the people here! I saw Elder Adams before i even checked in and have seen him at least four times since. I have seen Elder Conley many times and I have seen many more from Brighton and from BYU here. I also saw Sister Whiteley(She love you JESS haha) Sister Neilson, Elder Jake and last night as I walked into my room I was surprised by Elder Funaro and it was a great ending to a long day. My district is way tight. I thought I was close to people in college.. nothing compares. We have 8 elders in our district. Elder Han(called as district leader last night) is hilarious! He and his companion Elder Clark, are serving in Australia. Elder Blake and Sorenson, both very nice , are serving in Arcadia California. And Elder Hansen and Carter are serving in Busan. They are so funny and always get smiles and laughs going on in the district. My comapanion, Elder Wilson, is from st. anthony Idaho. He stands at 6'6'' and is a big kid. He played football, left tackle, and is going to play at ISU after the mission. He is soft spoken and our conversations are very general, but as things go along I hope our conversations about the gospel will be deeper. We have six elders in a room made for four. I live with Elder Wilson, Carter, Hansen, Kidman and WIlliams. Elders Kidman and Williams are in a different district and we hang with them when we can!

Well as we all know, I met Brother Decker the first afternoon after check-in and also as we all know I was spoken to in Korean whenever in class. It actually isnt too bad very confusing and so much to learn but I have time and with the help of my district and the Lord,I will be fine! Besides exercise time, we are in class and studying constantly. We are held up to a higher standard than other missionaries here as well. As we met as a branch yesterday, we learned that we have the name of the Celestial Branch. So pretty much we are supposed to be cleaner and more polite and professional at all times.

The days are long and full of work. We teach our first lesson in Korean tonight.... Pray for me and wish me luck. We learned how to read Korean so I hope we will be ok!! anyway time is almost up. so I know that Heavenly Father lives and loves us and will help us with any situation good or bad. I know that I am a Son of God and that through the atonement of Christ, we can retuen to our Father in Heaven. I am so excited to fulfill my purpose as a missionary by inviting others to come unto Christ by helping them recieve the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, recieveing the Holy Ghost and enduring to the end.

ps We have all made a pact to keep people sane while here at the MTC. For example, we smelt a tree last night that smelt like creme soda and all we could think of was who was the one to go around smelling trees... wow.

Love you all,
Elder Jackson
